The southern exposure is bounded in the west by the line of the Dere\u0161e \u2013 Oblaz<\/strong> ridge, and in the east by Trango\u0161ka<\/strong> Valley. Includes the skimo corridor around \u0160tef\u00e1nik Chalet \u2013 popularly known as the Chalet under \u010eumbier<\/strong> (Kozie Chrbty and the end of the Zelensk\u00e1 Mlynn\u00e1 path). KR\u00c1\u013dOV\u00c1 HO\u013dA<\/strong> ski mountaineering complex \u2013 bounded on the north and east by the road from \u0160umiac to Kr\u00e1\u013eova ho\u013ea and red hiking trail 0801 (Telg\u00e1rt \u2013 Kr\u00e1\u013eov\u00e1 ho\u013ea), and on the west by the line of the saddle between Kr\u00e1\u013eov\u00e1 ho\u013ea and Stredn\u00e1 ho\u013ea \u2013 Vy\u0161n\u00e9 Rovienky ridge.<\/p>\n

All routes lead to Zvolen Peak<\/strong>, from where you descend directly to the village or continue to the maintained Nov\u00e1 Ho\u013ea<\/strong> ski slope.<\/p>\n

Bansk\u00e1 \u0160tiavnica<\/strong> is not that good for skimo, as you can only experience the view of the snow-covered mountains from a different perspective outside opening hours at the Salamandra Resort<\/strong>. There are no official routes in the Gron<\/strong> region, but hardcore ski mountaineers go to Vt\u00e1\u010dnik<\/strong> Peak (for a longer and more challenging route) and to Ve\u013ek\u00fd Inovec<\/strong> (the marked route is not difficult). The trail leads past the Drozdovo<\/strong> ski resort, where you can stop for a breather. Similarly, if you take the Ve\u013ek\u00fd Inovec<\/strong> route, you\u2019ll find a cabin with refreshments below the peak.<\/p>\n

At 9 a.m. every Sunday, you can immerse yourself in icy bliss with the plucky members of the\u00a0Pohronie Ice Bears<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0at Bejvo\u010d Pond<\/strong> near the village of Lov\u010dica Trub\u00edn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nSeveral places in Gemer are frequented by winter swimmers: Gombasek Cave<\/strong> (unofficially), Boba\u010dka<\/strong> Waterfall (Hutn\u00edk Waterfall<\/strong> \u2013 a 3 m high waterfall behind the bus stop in Mur\u00e1nska Huta), Mikov\u00e1<\/strong> Reservoir near the Flipper guesthouse in Rev\u00facka Lehota<\/strong>, and the pond in the park of Betliar<\/strong> Manor. In this region, winter swimming and cold water immersion outdoors is practised by the\u00a0Sobotsk\u00e1 Ice Bears<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Tisovec Icicles<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Rev\u00faca Snowflakes<\/strong><\/a>.
