Trip tips
1. Cog Railway Museum in Tisovec
In the museum, you will discover what makes the line exceptional and the record-breaking gradients that trains overcome on it during the journey at Zbojská Pass. A variety of exhibits will guide you through the history of the construction of this work and the years of its existence.
2. Salaš Zbojská
Set off on the Bandit Express to a place scented with excellent food and stories simmered in a copper cauldron. At the Salaš Zbojská restaurant, fragrant mutton, traditional potato dumplings, and other regional specialties await you.
3. Jakub Surovec’s Bandit Trail
Zbojská Pass still breathes with bandit stories that will accompany you on a walk along the educational trail of the bandit Jakub Surovec. It is said that it was through the Devil’s Valley, through which the trail leads, that this bandit from Tisovec escaped from the gendarmes.
