Educational trails

Those drawn to the nature of the Banská Bystrica Region on foot have plenty of options every day of the year. 

There are more than enough reasons for your wanderings through the region – five national parks, nineteen mountain ranges, and everything hidden beneath mighty peaks, on the slopes of hills, in vast meadows, and in the foothill valleys. Set off briskly along the marked educational trails and stick to the designated routes. 

Scattered throughout the region, they will draw you into nature, but above all into stories connected with the history of our regions, mining, notable figures, fauna, or flora….our past.
