The ski mountaineering area CHOPOK SOUTH – below the mountain ridge from the peak Dereše to M. R. Štefánik Chalet. A southern exposure bordered on the west by the ridgeline Dereše – Oblaz, and on the east by the Trangoška valley. Including the ski mountaineering corridor around Chata pod Ďumbierom (Kozie Chrbty and the end of Zelenská Mlynná cesta). The ski mountaineering area KRÁĽOVÁ HOĽA – bordered on the north and east by the road Šumiac – Kráľova hoľa and the red hiking trail no. 0801 Telgárt – Kráľová hoľa, and on the west by the line of the saddle between Kráľova hoľa and Stredná hoľa – the Vyšné Rovienky ridge.

Mýto pod Ďumbierom, on the premises of Motorest Čertovica as well as at Mountain Chalet under Kráľova hoľa.
Krížna – starting points Turecká (Salašky) or Staré Hory section Rybô (marked on maps as Rybie), descent along the former ungroomed lift line. Donovaly – 3 marked routes, 2 of them start directly from the village, the third route goes through the Žarnovka valley. All routes lead to Mount Zvolen, from where you can descend directly into the village or continue to the groomed Nová Hoľa ski slope.

– directly from the Sásová housing estate (Banská Bystrica) along the blue hiking trail to Pánsky Diel with a descent to Šachtičky,
– from the Fuggerov Dvor hotel to Selčiansky diel and back,
– in the Podkonice Pleše ski resort.

Banská Štiavnica offers little for ski touring, as you can experience the view of snow-covered mountains from a different perspective only outside the operating hours of the Salamandra Resort ski resort. Although you will not find official routes in the Gron region, dedicated ski mountaineers go to the peak Vtáčnik (a longer and more demanding route) and to Veľký Inovec (the marked route is easy). The route leads around the Drozdovo ski resort, where you can refresh yourself. Similarly, below the summit of Veľký Inovec you will come across a chalet with refreshments.
